Cookies, xbox, AZ, Guns... Need I say more?!

These last few weeks have FLOWN by. I babysat Eric's 5 year old cousin all weekend, we went to Arizona to look for apartments, went shooting and saw the fam (both his and mine!!) Here are some pics of all the excitement!

Ok, so this is not from this weekend or one close to this weekend... This picture was taken right after we were sealed and were done with all the pictures at the temple :) I just came across it and thought it was cute, so I decided to put it on the blog! It's my favorite smirk face!!! I believe shortly after I took this one of us said "Man, We're MARRIED!" LOL

Ok, Ok... So I'm guilty again! This was taken at Toys R Us over Thanksgiving weekend. We went to find Mexican Train (a game) and not only found the game, but this sweet cycling game too!

So two or three weekends ago I babysat Jessica. She is so sweet and cute, we just love her to death! Don't get me wrong, we were VERY happy to be able to give her back on Sunday night after having her stay with us the weekend.. Lets just say that babysitting is the way to have kids! You get to have them for the fun and give them back when they're done!

Here are the cookies we made. We had cookie dough left over and made some after she left, but for those of you who know Eric or any boy well, they were not appropriate to photograph and post. Not his anyway.. Mine were cute, a fish and circles. Anyway, so Jess and I made these little beauties! This cookie dough looks like playdouh and even comes in individual containers that are like big playdough containers! It was a little messy, but not too bad. They were pretty good too!

Here is Eric playing xbox with his controller... Or is it?....

Man! Am I that good?! Which one is the real controller?! :P

Eric made an awesome dinner that night too! It's all about the presentation!

Now we're on to Arizona... We went last weekend to look for apartments. We left on Thursday morning and were lucky enough to get there in time to spend a couple of hours with my parents before they went home! We looked for apartments for 4-5 hours on Friday and Saturday, and even had 3 to see on Sunday on the way home! Lets just say that all the leasing officers could tell we had been looking all weekend! Lol! We found a lot of nice apartments. The rent there is sooooo much cheaper than CA. The problem was that since I don't have a job there yet we don't know how much we can afford to pay for rent :/ We found a sweet 2 bed 2 bath that we REALLY liked, but it was $769/mo which in CA is no big deal, but when you dont have a job and are the only one working... It becomes a big deal. So we opted for the 2 bed one bath for $710, but we'll see. We might be able to get a hook up with the other one, so I'll have to keep you posted!

This is Daisy, my brother Steven's dog. She is so sweet and just wants to be loved and pet!

This is Smegul, or Gollumn. This dog barks all the time! By the end of our stay she was only really barking at Eric. She let me pet her, but if Eric so much as looked at her she would freak out! Oh, and her real name is Harley. She LOOKS like Smegul tho! lol (and that's what we call her)

A trip to AZ is not complete with out shooting some guns! Just call me Indiana Jones! (You probably thought I would say Bond, James Bond. But that gun is just like the handguns the Nazi's use in The Last Crusade, or was it the Quest for the Holy Grail... Whatever! It's the Indiana Jones movie with Ilsa and Hitler signs the Dad's Grail diary. Every time I see that part I think "I bet that signature would be worth a lot of money today.." that and "That diary is SWEET! I want it, and I want to study all the clues and find the grail myself!" I know I know.. I'm a dork, oh well!)

Aww bonding!! James Bond-ing that is! lol! ok, I'll stop.. (the guy in the black hat is my bro Steven btw.)

I'm sorry, I can't seem to find my compass, which way is it to Phoenix?

And last, but not least. You find some pretty sweet characters at the shooting range! I present the one the ONLY Crocodile Dun Dee!!!

We saw a REAL cowboy too, but I didn't get a picture! He had a silk vest, boots, black hat (like in tombstone), leather gun holster belt with two pistols (one on each hip), a knife on the back of the belt AND the belt was even loosely hanging on his hips and slanted to one side! Oh, and I was a cowgirl! I shot Steve's "John Wayne" gun, a Colt 45. It's my new favorite! :)

I really need to blog more so that each post isn't a million years long! Sorry! :/

It's been a long time!

I wish I had some fun pictures to put up with this post, but I don't :( It has been so long since I've posted anything. Things have been a little busy around here! I started a new job about a month ago and am still trying to get into some kind of routine! I have decided that working out on Friday and Saturday only is NOT cutting it! Everyone knows how much I like to work out and be active, and unfortunately I have to say that I have been a big slacker in that department as of late :( I am starting over this Monday. I am really going to try to get though this P90X business! The guy is so annoying tho! lol! My goal for now is to get through one week. I haven't even done that yet! So, starting Monday I will be waking up at 6:00 or 6:30AM to work out. I have decided that I don't like working out at night because I don't like not washing my hair at night and in the morning. It is just too much, so morning it is! I woke up at 6:30 every day on the mission, I can do it now too!

On another note.. Poor Eric has had quite the week! He's had this cough for about 3 weeks now. The stubborn little bugger won't go away! Also, He had to go to the Dr. yesterday for his immunization stuff for school. He got a tetnis shot, TB test, Blood work and some other shot, so today his arms are REALLY sore AND he doesn't feel good :( He is actually napping at this very moment, which is UNHEARD of! He also has two canker sores, one of which is really big and painful:( And to top everything off he has a hang nail on his finger that is all swollen and irritated. Poor thing! lol! It is kind of funny tho, because it's such a small thing but they hurt so much! To hear him complain about it is a little amusing. This tough guy taken down by the hangnail! lol!

In light of the rain I've decided to make a list of my favorite things (thank you Julie Andrews!)(these are in no specific order)

1. My husband. (Even when he drives me crazy. Lol! Not that it's often :) )
2. Really nice paper. Whether it's drawing paper or patterned it doesn't matter, as long as it has a nice feel, and quality!
3. Pens. But not just any pen! Ones that have a fine tip and good ink flow. Not just the liquid ink, because I like a good ole ball point too :)
4. Snuggling and cuddling
5. Sitting at the beach and watching/ listening to the waves.
6. Sunsets.
7. The Sky.
8. Stars (as in the ones that twinkle at night!)
9. My camera/taking pictures.
10. Painting/ drawing. Whether it's me painting or I'm looking at paintings.
11. Driving down PCH on a nice day with the windows down, sunroof open, blasting some sweet tunes and singing along of course!
12. Hanging out with friends.
13. A good adventure! They are EVERYWHERE! You just have to look for them!
14. Dogs :)
15. Soccer. Watching or Playing.
16. Doing active stuff. Sports, outdoorsy stuff.
17. My Family and memories of my family. Fishing with Steve, Sitting with dad in his music room listening to Phantom or Enya, Baking with mom or singing in the tub, Mike farting in my face... (Steve did too).
18. Stationary stores in Hong Kong
19. The temple.
20. Spiritual moments where Heavenly Father seems to wrap his arms around, or when you just feel the spirit so strongly that you want to jump and dance around like you were Gene Kelly in "Singin' in the Rain".
21. The rain. And singing and dancing in it! Lol
22. Watching a good movie when it's cold outside and you're all cozy and snuggled up in a blanket with the one you love. Or Suggled up in a blanket and WITH those you love!

And of course, I will end there on the best number ever! lol! I was only going to do 20 but I was on a roll! This post is far too long now, so I will leave you with this... What do you love? What makes you happy? Thinking about the things that fill your heart with joy and make your life full will help you remember who you are and how it's the simple things in life that really matter. It keeps you young too! ;) So make a list and post it so we all can see what eachother love!

Pictures

My pictures got cut off :( I'm still trying to figure this thing out!

Caribbean Honeymoon

We just got back from our honeymoon in the Caribbean! It was a week long cruise that stopped in the Grand Cayman Islands, Rotan Honduras, Cozumel Mexico, and Princess Cays (Bahamas). Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate with us, but never the less we had a good time! After all, not having to work, cook, or clean for a week is always great! :) Here are some pictures from our trip.

Here is how it started! LOL! We took a red-eye flight to Fort Lauderdale, FL. We arrived at 5am and didn't get on the ship until 1 or so...

This is how tired we were! But that's ok, because we were on vacation!

The first thing we ate. It quickly became Eric's favorite!

Lucky Lucky! At the "Send off" party they had a raffle, and I won a $25 gift certificate for the flower shop on the boat! I always win ;)

Grand Cayman. Probably one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and it was too cold to get in :( This is also the beach that the Corona commercials are filmed.

On our Grand Cayman tour we went to a turtle farm and were able to hold the turtles!!

This is Hell, both literally and figuratively! Lol! Our Grand Cayman tour stopped at some pretty silly places, this being one of them. This is a town called Hell that is literally a shop and post office, and that's it! I couldn't stop laughing because the tour was so ridiculous.

Rotan. We did a zip-line tour!! It was WAY fun! I highly recommend it to anyone!

We also went snorkeling in Rotan!! It looks cold, but it was surprisingly warm! There were lots of fishies too!!

This is Cozumel! SOOOOO Beautiful! We went on a tour of Maya ruins!!! So up my alley! Eric liked it too! We had an amazing tour guide AND the beach was the MOST beautiful beach I've EVER seen!

Aww :)

Our ship, a Maya mask and La Playa de Carmen! (Mexico)

This is a Jaguar statue made of Onyx. Did you know that Onyx changes color in the light?! It turns gold! The center is the Maya Calender, often confused with the Aztec calendar... The movie "2012" says that the world will end in 12-12-2012 because that's when the Maya calendar ends, but film shows the Aztec calendar! LOL! AND The Maya calendar doesn't end in Dec, it ends in the Spring (I think)... Oh Hollywood!

The first picture is of the Maya ruins. I think the complex is called Tuclum, but I'm not sure. I can't remember :(
Princess Cays

These photos were taken by Eric... Can you guess why?!
We are now, as we are brought to the end of our trip, we find ourselves back where we began!

Pictures from Frisbee Golf

Birthday celebrations!

Last Saturday was my birthday, and Eric and I had a day filled with fun activities! We started the day off with a nice bike ride down to the beach, after which we came home and relaxed for an hour or so. Then we went to El Dorado park and played Frisbee golf (courtesy of Ryan Wilson). Then we went to dinner at Chilli's where I had my favorite tortilla soup and a chocolate volcano mountain with ice cream (which we shared :) )! I took some pictures of us frisbee golfing, but I am too lazy to put them on the computer right now! lol! I will later :)

Well, I have to get my day going! I had to wait for the repair guy to come this morning and do something about the mold that has decided to make a home around ALL of our windows! The windows in our apartment are so crappy and gather so much condensation that water drips off of them and mold starts to grow... I've already cleaned it once, so this time I had them do it! If they're not going to replace my windows then they can come and clean it every time! HA!
So I've decided to cave and make a Blog for Eric and me. Hope my life proves as interesting as all of yours!
